Linpus Netbook
I’m very excited. I’ve been looking at netbooks for a few months, but with a sort of JUST looking attitude. Well after my Thanksgiving dinner, I took a few minutes to gander at Apple’s “one day sale” hoping it would be something more than their usual ridiculous “discounts”. I didn’t find much and was just disappointed to see that the greatest discount was $100.
So I figured, maybe someone ELSE is having awesome deals on Macs right now, like Newegg. So I googled it, and some how came across a black friday deal on Newegg: a 250 dollar Netbook by Acer
THAT’s right… it’ll be here tuesday 
yo, Jon “buyer beware” there is a reason why they say that, you get what you pay for. Plus not to mention a couple weeks before “black Friday” sales they jack up the price so when “black Friday” roles around it’s not much of a sale. The store is still making there “economic profit” (you heard of that term in econ class) and the consumer non the wiser.
Jon an Acer, really i have yet to hear about some one that was actually satisfied with an Acer they make “cheap” computers period. Oh I thought you said that you hate macs .

I know exactly what you mean man, but i just happened to be looking at netbooks for a while, so i was aware of the prices way before the holidays.
I’ve heard that opinion of Acer before, I’m just not sure where it came from. My girlfriend, dad, and mom have Acers, and they’re all pretty heavily used. None of them have ever presented any problems.
Regardless though, thanks for the heads up, there may be some truth to the rumors about Acer, we’ll see though. I’ll post more about it one I get the machine and fiddle with it some more.

Oh, yeah… I have an anti-virus application on my mac. The typical “Mac is immune” claims are just bloated exaggerations, that’s been known for a while.
